El Cotillo:
El Cotillo is a small fishing village situated in the North West of the Island, offering a selection of beaches ranging from the quiet salt water lagoons of Los Lagos perfect for safe swimming, rock pooling and fishing, to the rough and tumble of the 'big wave surfer beach.' even on a busy day it never becomes too overcrowded and you will always be able to find your own secluded spot. The village is centred around the harbours that are used by local fishermen. There are tw
o harbours: The 'old' and the 'new'. The boats are located at the 'new' harbour. The old harbour is only a short walk round the corner. There are several bars and restaurants around the old harbour and where you can enjoy the amazing views. At the far end of the village a couple of miles to the north you will find a lighthouse, and a pleasant afternoon can be spent strolling there and back. The village has several fine traditional Canarian restaurants, where you will be 
made to feel very welcome. If you like fresh fish, there are no finer places than La Capitana, Marisma, Azzurro and Casa Rustica, where the fish on your plate was caught that same day. There is also a good selection of cafes and bars where you can idle the day away. If you are looking for peace and tranquillity this is the place for you.
