Lajares:

Lajares is a little inland village that is an ideal location for those seeking peace and serenity in a traditional countryside environment, but with easy access to the main town of Corralejo and just a ten minute drive to the beautiful lagoons of El Cotillo. You can also find a football stadium and a ‘lucha canaria’ area, this is a type of wresting which proves to be very popular in the Canaries. The main attraction for tourists in Lajares is the local lace shop 'Artisania Lajares' where you can watch the local women making lace and embroidery and buy some typical Canarian craftwork. The village now has several fine restaurants and a large supermarket.
