With tourism booming on Fuerteventura, Corralejo, situated in the north, is one of the most popular resorts on the island. Although expanding rapidly and now probably the biggest resort on Fuerteventura, it still maintains its original charm. Originally a fishing village it has now grown into a lively colourful town with lots of opportunities to keep everyone busy. Corralejo accommodates for all ages with plenty to do ranging from, watersports, jeep safaris, trips on glass bottom boats, ferry rides to Lanzarote and Lobos, quad-biking, African markets and a water park. You will find most of the shops bars and restaurants along the main street which leads through music square to the original part of the town, the harbour, where you can observe the spectacular ocean scenery. At the southern end of the town, along the East coast lies the 'Las Dunas' National Park with its golden sand dunes and beautiful beaches stretching for several miles.
